专辑简介
As a live recording, it is a good testimonial of Jen-Yi’s achievements--a taxing programme, delivered with true professionalism. Clear musical thoughts, a nice sense of space, tasteful pedalling and moments of touching tenderness.--Yu Chun YeeFellow of the Royal College of MusicArtistic Advisor, Nanyang Academy of Fine ArtsThis third album of Jen-Yi Wang relives her piano recital held at the National Recital Hall, Taipei, in 2019. ‘Notturno’, as Motif of the album, depicts the aspiration of the programme thus formed. Incorporated with a calligraphic design and a collection of nocturnes by various composers, the album as a whole arouses for the listeners facets of imagination and a deep, poetic aura in the world of ‘night’. Jen-Yi Wang was the first prize winner at the National Chopin Competition in Taiwan in 1986, and the first prize winner at the Robert William and Florence Amy Brant International Piano Competition in Birmingham, England, in 1992. She received her BMus and MMus degrees at the Royal College of Music in London, England, and was conferred the Doctor of Musical Arts in 2000 at the City University of New York in the US. Since back in Taiwan, Jen-Yi Wang has been devoting herself to performing, teaching and writing. She took part in several recording projects, including Little Pieces for Piano, vol.1&2, Happy Four Hands—‘Little Little Twinkle Stars’, vol.1 (published by Sheng-Li Cultural Corporation Ltd) and Capriccio of Piano Duo (published by Chi-Mei Fine Arts Ltd).
