Jackie Pajo is a 29-year-old female vocalist. She was born to a simple family consisting of both parents, two younger sisters, and a brother. Together the family lived in the city of Davao in the Philippines.Jackie Pajo Performs LiveJackie PajoIn the early years money was short for the family and with both her mama and papa working hard to support the family, Jackie spent her early years together with her beloved grandfather who happened to be a famous guitar builder from Davao.Music became a part of Jackie’s life from the beginning. Sitting on her grandfather’s knee, she learned to play the guitar. Her grandfather also taught Jackie’s mother and her siblings to play.At the age of three, Jackie’s grandfather encouraged her to enter a singing contest. Jackie participated, melted everybody’s hearts, and won the contest!During her childhood, Jackie entered and won several song contests. Local radio and television stations broadcasted the performances, and the little girl with the big voice became famous throughout Davao City.Participating in contests was hard work for the little girl. Even though entering a contest set high expectations, it was winning a contest that usually gave her the prize money needed to help her family financially.Later, when her parents had purchased a home, Jackie moved back with her family and devoted her time to attending school, but she continued to sing. She participated in the local church choir and with different bands. Usually the bands that featured Jackie as the lead vocalist became very popular and often played for big events in Davao City. Politicians used her band for their election campaigns or for private entertainment arrangements.After college, Jackie attended nursing school and planned to become a nurse like many of her friends. However, after a few years at nursing school, while still maintaining the band and a strong passion for music, Jackie decided to become a full-time musician.Going full time her band became one of the most famous bands in Davao City and usually worked seven days a week with a fully booked calendar.One day, Jackie’s manager asked her if she would like to work abroad.
