I've always enjoyed playing the piano, since an aunt paid for me to have lessons as a schoolboy. Working as an engineer, I never found the time, or the confidence, to progress beyond good amateur standard.When I retired, I needed something to keep my mind active. I found a brilliant piano tutor, Dr Mike Spacie, who took me up to Grade 7 grade with distinction.This year I went back to Mike with the aim of recording a classical piano album - and this is the result.And here's something you won't have seen before. To increase your enjoyment of the album, I've recorded a short introduction to each piece, with some interesting facts about the music and the composer.
