Scott Williams takes his music for an interesting turn with Hammerock, an all-cover album of fifteen popular rock songs spanning three decades. From Stairway to Heaven to Audioslave's 'Be Yourself', Scott takes the listener down a path of familiarity but with a not-so-familiar instrument called a hammered dulcimer. With the dulcimer taking the melodies and the 'vocals' of these songs, Williams accompanies the album with 12-string guitar, mandolin, cello, violin, bass, and drums."It's rock and roll you can sleep to", Williams says."These are very familiar songs that you can sing along to while driving or listening." Since they are instrumental, it also makes for a good soundtrack in the work environment.
