When i think about vri have to say yejust a average person

I think of games

These kind of funstustuso the first of all what is vrvr itself originally was just kind of like a machine that put you into kind of another world

It would take away your senses

Your site in your 're hearing

Give

Give you something that you could see

And something you could here to make you feel like you are somewhere else

Oh Okay

You mention all the senses

But right now the vr you can see

Are generally what i think about it

I think about vr glasses

So it's more a visual thing maybe with some sound

But it's not like all senses

Like you mentioned not all the senses

Right now yet mostly just what you see in what you hear um

And also that reminds me of an classic film matrix

Yeah is that related to that's basically kind of like a full emersion vr

Where y've created a completely new reality

And all of your senses are in this reality

None of your actual physical dances are there everything is from this new world

Will be this possibility of the our consciousness will just live in the vr world

Where our bodies are in the actual physical reality

There's actually a movie called surrogate

Where they have this idea where people will just kind of being in d ds

Kind like a surrogate bodies will be going out into the world

And so they actually be in vivtual reality kind of in a way

But it's just their physical bodies won't be able to be harmed

But are they really expensive

They're a little bit expensive

I think i spent about six hundred dollars

Us about just over three thousand rmb on mine

Um that's not too bad

I guess so how is the experience

It's actually pretty good

You do have to have a good computer to do it

So if you have a computer

You do have to upgrade your video card

Which can not you

You know another two or three hundred but no one or two thousand rmb

More but the better video card

You have the better

The experiences

The more fluid

It is like if you have something that's not very fluid

Like that it can actually make you sick

While you're playing um

If you have a decent set up

Then it's a really good experience um

But that still only covers your visual and you're hearing right

Are there any maybe in the future can they actually cover

Or are there any more advanced equipment that can cover other senses

They're looking into ways to get tacked le feelings like smells or actually like touch feelings and force feelings and things like this as well

I would love that another concept related to vr

Virtual reality is ar well i think sometimes you see some exhibition

You see ar and then what is ar

So ar is where you're not physically completely immersed into virtual reality

Ar is where you have something like aa mobile phone and the mobile phone is taking using the camera um

And you see what's actually there

But then it's adding things into the environment

So ar is where you actually see things around you like for example pokem on go

But then of like an ar ging where you're walking around to play

And you see the actual thing is around you

But then you can kind of go around

And

And you see a pokemon there and try to catch it

And that one is not necessary the best example

Because sometimes the background isn't exactly what you're seeing

But in a lot of like true ar r ames

Ames you go around

And you the camera picks up everything around you see a tree

And there's they put something in the tree

And so when you're playing on your phone

You can see something

And you try to like interact with it

That's interesting so ar by the way it's augmented reality 叫增强现实

So let me put it this way virtureality is you can sit in an empty room

And then create an entire different tality in front of you

But augmented reality ar is more like you already have things in front of you

Those are real things for example like you said a tree

But then you put some addition to the tree

Like for example the tree can dance or the tree can opened up

That's ort ort thing usually though ll have something like a monster in the tree

Or something animal hanging from the tree

Or something like that i always remember a few years back

There's a one of my favorites

Japanese horror cartoonior manga artist

He has a show of his some of the main characters

He drew

But that's in an ar show

So when you get closer to it

And then you can actually see them change that's pretty cool

There's like one more like kind of fun thing to do with a ar

Or it's not using any type of real technology so to say

You get things on like twitter or other types of social media programs

Where someone pretends like theare tually

Tually another uniuniverse

They'll put out all these little snippets or they

They take pictures of things

Or they put up photoshop pictures

And they make it look like there's this whole another universe somehow connected two ours on accident through like social media or something like that

And they'll actually tually build whowhothing thing

Where they ll like friend other people who are like kind of in on it there are other characters who are kind of part of this

Or maybe they'll have like youtube videos or twitter things

That are nected

Cted as a way to kind of like make it seem like are universes bridging over

And to this whole other universe that sounds both fascinating and so busy

It is kind of like a another way of incorporating fan fiction into augmented reality

An fiction comes es life

Life sentially alright

Now let's get back to the vr set

That you're talking about

So your her set is it just like ai don't know

Like a machine

Like a box

Or there's a head set

Yeah

There's a head set

So what you have basically in a lot of really good set up as you'll have your computer

And then you have have a head set covers your ears and your eyes to give you that experience

And usually there's a cable

But some of them have wireless setups that costle a bit more but aside from that

So you can actually get motion and movement

They'll have sensors that you place them like opposite corners of your room

And that tracks your movement within the game

So you can actually move around using your actual feet

Or you can use like the controller to help you move

If it something quite far away

And does it have it any requirement as with regard to room size

Do you have to have a relatively large room

You don't necessarily have to have such a large room

Usually it has to be something like

Maybe like two by two meters by two memeters

Or something like that maybe even that enough

Okay

It does limit how far you can move within one area

But usually you can interact with a controller to get yourself to move to another spot usuway

You can kind of move around within one era

Little little it easier

I have been to those those experience centers before

And then if it does an actual physical wall

And then in the game in your head set

They will mind ind

So in the end of the basic episode about vr

Some of the games that you play or people play with a vr set

Most of the games that you can play on any type of computer system in some way may have been translated over into vr

You've got basic like shooting games

Racing games

You've got the zomby shooters ters

You've got a military shooter snipper games

You have all those types of things just out of curiosity

How real is that we r making it

It feels quite real right you actually feel the terrifying sensation as something is coming at you

But like like something will pop out of nowhere

You're like wait

Whwhere ther that come from right just like you don't hear than olison

Like it does have kind of like this three sixty sound

And so you hear something behind you with the way they have the the headphones set up to have be so cool to play horror games with

But then aside from those some of the games that they have

That are more like four vr specific are kind of like you can call them sort of life simulators all like simulating real life situation for example i've play those before

Or have experience those before

Like for example vola cocoter ter

And then you actually do feel dizzy was that or i've experienced one that's really scary

It's like you're on top of the sky

Scripper those and trtrying to the the beam

Whside that this stuff that you're talking about right those

And then they have some other ones that are a little bit more more may be fun

Whether you can actually play like being a doctor

We're actually like you have a body

And you have like crack open the ribs and go

And

And like fix the heart

Or something like that i would feel like that would be better

If like you said earlier

If they actually incorporate the sense of touch

Because otherwise you're still just doing it in the air

Right you don't know

They know the controller can vibrate

And so like you can kind of feel it gives you kind of like a what of a sense se somesometh's happening well ah the controroer er can operate

And like can you get really close to what it kind of like it makes you feel like 're kind of pushing yet something because it starts to vibratand it's ygonna go

You get some some sort of sensation

And then aside from those types of games

You have like dating simulators

Oh

That's a assad no like i dieven know about dating simulators

Until like i went to japan for the first time

We don't really have those types of things in the states

But dating simumuatators would that incorporate ai as well so is it like this

Your date is truly interacting with you

Or is it just bold program

It's somewhat programmed they do have kind of like limitations

I've not really gone through

And

And played one so but like

Like i've seen a few videos online about it and yeah

It is just like a you go through something just like a regular date

And when interact with them

You can choose dialogue and things

Like that actually i'm played dating games before when i was younger

Yeah

I think we that is about

But do make it into a simulator

That's interesting
