So they sang and were glad

Lived an old mother muskrat

And her little ratties four

Dive said the mother

We dive said the four

So they dived and they burrowed

Over in the meadow

In a snug beehive
在一个舒适的蜂窝里
Lived a mother honey bee
住着蜜蜂妈妈
And her little bees five
还有五只可爱的蜂宝宝
Buzz said the mother
蜂妈妈说 嗡嗡鸣叫吧
We buzz said the five
好呀 五只蜂宝宝回道
So they buzzed and they hummed
所以它们就在一个舒适的蜂窝里

In a nest built of sticks

Lived a black mother crow

We caw said the six

So they cawed and they called

In their nest built of sticks

Where the grass is so even
在那平坦的草地上
Lived a gay mother cricket
住着一只快乐的蟋蟀妈妈
And her little crickets seven
还有七只可爱的蟋蟀宝宝
Chirp said the mother
蟋蟀妈妈说 喳喳叫吧
We chirp said the seven
好呀 七只蟋蟀宝宝回道
So they chirped cheery notes
所以它们就在那平坦柔软的草地上
In the grass soft and even
喳喳地叫 奏出欢乐音符
Over in the meadow
越过草地
By the old mossy gate
在长满青苔的老门旁边
Lived a brown mother lizard
住着一只棕色的蜥蜴妈妈
And his little lizards eight
还有八只可爱的蜥蜴宝宝
Bask said the mother
蜥蜴妈妈说 去晒晒太阳吧
We bask said the eight
好呀 八只蜥蜴宝宝回道
So they basked in the sun
所以它们就趴在长满青苔的老门旁边
On the old mossy gate
在温暖的阳光下取暖
Over in the meadow
越过草地
Where the quiet pools shine
在波光粼粼的池塘里
Lived a green mother frog
住着一只绿色的青蛙妈妈
And her little froggies nine
还有九只可爱的青蛙宝宝
Croak said the mother
青蛙妈妈说 呱呱叫吧
We croak said the nine
好呀 青蛙宝宝回道
So they croaked and they splashed
所以它们就在波光粼粼的池塘里
Where the quiet pools shine

Over in the meadow

In a sly little den
在一个隐蔽的小洞穴里
Lived a gray mother spider
住着一只灰色的蜘蛛妈妈
And herlittle spiders ten
还有十只可爱的蜘蛛宝宝
Spin said the mother
蜘蛛妈妈说 去织网吧
We spin said the ten
好呀 十只蜘蛛宝宝回道
So they spun lacy webs
所以它们就在一个隐蔽的小洞穴里
In their sly little den
编织着漂亮的网
