Days are mirrors plain and true
reflecting all we are inside
Some will see the fleeting rush
some the calm of tide
I stand before the silent glass
and meet a face I used to be
Past and future merge in one —
a moment’s clarity
Dust and light in equal share
form the heart’s geometry
Only when we dare to see
we find simplicity
I wipe away what time has blurred
and meet my gaze anew
For life itself when clearly seen
is light reflected through
