And then mostly about the entertainment light news

As we would say there's quite a bit about sport

There's quite a bit about entertainment

Entertainment and mostly about news

But it's sensationalied

It's sensational news so is design to get people interesrested is maybe things about crime for example

And the financial times a 金融时报

And then you have the guardian uh

The gudidian left and

That's a quite liberal newspapers is at the guardian

Ah is quite famous for talking about topics

Which are very liberal or slightly left wing

So there's lots of opinion pieces

There's lots of news especially about international affairs

As well you have to remember that as i said before all the newspapers will reflect the views of their readers

So there's lots of opinion articles so do it

So would you say that people who read guardioh acdifferent speawho read daily mail yeah

Very very different

Very different in their outlooks

Actually speaking of different newspapers and their readers

I remember bethere there was classic british comedy called yes

Prime minister

There was a brilliant piece of the prime minister commenting on different newspaper readers

I know the one you mean

And actually i have a recording of that particular joke

You have the headline

That will tell you the main story

And also also ticticles erally folfollow the same structure and what structure is that so the first poagraph

The first section is normally telling you the main point of the article

So who what where and when so then the later parts you other poagraph is more details is why then then final poagraph is normally

The outcome or a quote so usually they would follow

This is newspaper

Writing is pretty standard

You can find out the whole news just from reading in the first pop

I always tell my students that you don't need to read every article

Find the ones that you're interested in otherwise just scan through some of the headlines

I'm interested in if i read every arwer or be there all day exactly so in english

First you have to hit the headlines or to make the headlines

That means to be in the news very suddenly

And also to be in probably front page yeah

And you also have to break the news

To break the news usually about something bad yeah

All upsein so we'll say sorry

I have to break the news to you

Break the news to you

So if people say to break the news to you

Expect bad news

Yeah

And when you say no news is good news

So if you haven't received any messages or any emails or anything that says that anycan gone wrong

You just say no news is good news

And you can also say someone is bad news

Um

So if you say that person is bad news

That means they have a bad perononality

No probably whols trouble

So the very existence of them

If they show up

You know something bad is going to happen

So we'll describe them as bad news all right
