It trembles on the branch tip
too brave to fear the fall;
it knows the art of letting
and teaches us it all
The wind extends its promise
the sky receives its trust;
the leaf becomes the pilgrim
returning into dust
We watch it find its landing
so quiet yet profound;
the world applauds in silence
no better truth is found
For everything releases
for everything must go—
to live is to surrender
and bless the letting-flow
