"Between Shadows and Light"
I walk through shattered dreams where silence used to sleep
The wind still calls my name from places buried deep
Ashes on my skin, rain falls just like a sigh
But I'm still breathing in though it burns to stay alive
Life cuts slow like a fading flame
But I hold on—I'm not the same
Between shadows and light I fall, but I rise
With the scars on my chest and the fire in my eyes
I’m not what I’ve lost, I’m the part that survived
Between shadows and light... I’m learning to fight
I saw my face in fear, and spoke like to a friend:
“You’ve broken down before— you can break and still defend”
The past still sings in me, but I don’t sing along
My steps are made of steel and my silence still is strong
One breath, one spark, one silent scream
And I remember what it means
Between shadows and light I fall, but I rise
With the scars on my chest and the fire in my eyes
I’m not what I’ve lost, I’m the part that survived
Between shadows and light... I’m learning to fight
And if the world goes quiet I will still be the sound
I’ll scream into the dark 'til the silence breaks down
Every tear I’ve cried was a seed, was a sign
Nostalgia's not death... it’s proof I’m alive
Between shadows and light I fall, but I rise
With the scars on my chest and the fire in my eyes
I’m not what I’ve lost, I’m the soul that survived
Between shadows and light... I’m burning... alive
