Morning hums beneath my tired skin,
A fragile hope begins again.
The night lets go its silver ties,
And dawn paints gold behind my eyes.
I breathe the world with trembling grace,
A quiet strength begins to trace.
My shaking heart remembers how,
To try and stand up here and now.
I rise from quiet light once more,
My feet find ground I felt before.
No fear remains, no need to hide,
I walk with peace here at my side.
The gentle wind still says my name,
But I don’t feel the same old shame.
My scars turned into lines of hue,
They sing the path that pulled me through.
I lift my face where light begins,
A softer voice now lives within.
I let the quiet guide me home,
And know I never walk alone.
I rise from quiet light once more,
My feet find ground I felt before.
No fear remains, no need to hide,
I walk with peace here at my side.
Every fall rewrote my tone,
Every loss became my own.
Now I sing what pain could teach,
Peace was never out of reach.
I rise again, the dawn is kind,
The past grows softer in my mind.
Through golden air my spirit flies,
I live again beneath new skies.
