Your house was full of crooked laughing frames
Of stories no one bothered now to name
The curtains danced with wind that never came
As if the walls breathed life instead of shame
You led me past the doubts I always hide
And made a place for them to sit inside
You said “This room can hold what you’ve denied ”
Then handed me a mug and stayed beside
With every joke you told the floor felt strong
The stairs learned how to hum a softer song
I started feeling I had not been wrong
To wish for somewhere I could truly belong
So if the years tear down the bricks and beams
And nothing’s left but dust and scattered dreams
I’ll know that once beyond my borrowed role
Your open windows sheltered my whole soul
