I was lost in a world
So full of sin and death

Hatred and Vitriol
Became my every thought
While I schemed
And planned out my life
God sent his messengers

The pain left me, filled me with love
It was Jesus that found me

Many years later, still struggling
I still cry to him in joy and in pain
Because I know that He is still with me

I could ever do would
Lead me from this hell
I've tried everything
From alcohol to drugs and spells
But I always return
To Him because of his promise

He still calls me by my name
