So what are we gonna talk about today we're to talk about space travel

The ultimate geek subject

I love it is it going to meet the ultimate thing about star wars and star track

Well it's gna be a little bit of a discussion of both

And we'll talk about some types es of spsptraveveas well well we'll talk about some real space travel

I will talk about some theories based on that type of thing as well um i really have to say in this

I'll be complepleguided by you

I never was interested in it

Is just recently i got little bit more interested in it

Whenever i think about space travel first of all thing about moon lending

When we look at fiction tion

Tion often based somewhat on fact like they're be some sort of theory or idea behind it

And they kind of put that in the space fiction

And there you know space are into science fiction

And that eventually somewhat comes true

When you talk about space travel infection

For example in movies and all that

And then thinking about the whole geek dom

You have to talk about star wars and star track

And then i have to risk losing our friendship over this

What is difference

When it comes to two like movies

That probably the two most popular space travel movies are like star wars and star track

And star wars

Star tracks actually like tv show and movies with star wars is becoming more of atv oriented show

But

But primarily only only the viviin the the past

But

But they have kind of way of of space travel

But star wars

Star track they're not just a movie or tv show

Theare almost its own universe

The lack of a better war yes

But are there any a different and conceptual differences

Star wars uses something called like a hyper drive and basic what they do is it's

It's almost like using a warm haul

But in like an in the whole idea of a warm haul is that in star wars

They use something called a hyper drive

Typically when you think of a warm hle

So it basically opens up another realm of space

That allows you to a shorting almost like space teleporting

It's not instantaneous like teleporting

But we all talk about something like that with star track okay

But this is kind of like creating a faster way of travelling through a set spspace

Because you're not in the al spspace

're in the kind of like a almost a sub space

But they called hyper space

I see as always i'm more confused what about star trck star track has up

Until recently basically worked on something called wop drive

Wop drive and what that essentially does ther ther really moof like this bubble around this space ship and kind of move space rather than the starship in a sense

They're travelling at such speeds that it's you can't travel

You can't move

That you're not really moving through space

But your travelling innocent

It's kind of a weird way of doing it through the physics i say

And it creates this bubble

Now we're going to talk about time dlation in the advance episode

But basically if you were to travel that fast

You would age much slower than anyone around you and so

But using these types of space travel doesn't have that creavan effect

So so the work a bubble actually prevents time dlation

I see so sort of think up up to some extent the time during space travel yeah

So it's kind of an interesting thing

Now the other type of space travel

Something not quite star track or star wars related

But something more realistic would be the use of a like a really fast drive

But basically using hybrination or kind of like a state of a like a suspended animation

So you're not actually awake in aging um during the time

While you're in space sense

It actually so long free to travel

It's almost like ezing

Yeah in a way okay

But nowadays perhaps

When we were grogrowup up space travel

That's really just completely fictional

But now it's getting more and more like a reality

Yeah

One of thing that's kind of interesting happening

Now we have two major companies that are kind of ly going into something called space tourism

Space x is planning going into space tourism eventually

But theare focusing more on providing a cheap way way to move things in the space

Where as virgin golactic is looking up more getting like short term space in a space tourism essentially allowing people with money to experience space travel

Yeah

I think right now with virgin golactic you can go on a ninety minute flight into space

And it's not space like a you're orbiting the earth

But you're above the area

Where you're essentially in zero gravity um

Ah i think such light gravity that you don't feel it anymore

Like how far away is that from the earth how high up

So if you go more than fifty miles above the surface of the earth

That's where anasis says you're an astronaut um

But they travel up to sixty two miles above

And so that's twelve miles higher than that

So the amount of time you actually spend in that

That lighweight area isn't the majority of the ninety minutes

It's a small section of the ninety minute

Um obviously need

Need get there

Um how much is it

It's like quarter of a million dollars four ninety minutes

Yeah

But even say i have the money that doesn't necessarily mean i can go right

I'm assuming there will be some health related restrictions

You can't just send anyone for that flight you don't need to worry too much about how restrictions there's a few things

They probably are going to check

Check it's more

If you are actually going into space

Itself like if you're going to go

And like actually go a little bit for than that also you don't have to be trained like an actual astronaut

No i see

And i've heard of this think of space hotels

Yeah

What's that about space hotels are the plan currently first space hotel will be in twenty

Twenty seven

They planned to launch the first space hotel

Wow

That's very zoo

Yeah

I'm kind of like weary to think about yethat that actually tually able to happen given space ex current situation

It's quite possible

But i think it's a little far fetch doll

But where is it

Is it going to be like orbiting

Or is it going to be floating

What is it going to be like

So it would be orbiting much like the international space station is let's not na be in that

That internet

That ane of orbit 啊

And what people can stay there overovernight just to or short theit'll be like nightly type of thing right yeh

So i'm not quite sure

How long each individual person could stay there

Yeah

Ah so i don't really have a lot of information out yet

But it would probably be very short stays at least for right now

And it all depends on how quickly they can get ships

And how big is it roughly how many people can they accommodate

So it's going to be just under four hundred

Hundred people

Because it's going to be about two hundred and eighty gas

And it's probably about one hundred some people working

Oh

So a lot of staff member

Yeah

Ah for something like that you'd need a lot of people just in case

I'm because wrong

You know want to leave them hanging

Yeah

So is big okay
