Beyond the hours stands a lamp
still shining for the late return
It asks no name it guards no path
it burns for all who learn
The years move fast the past moves light
I reach but touch the air
What’s gone was never truly lost —
its warmth still lingers there
Time is not cruel just still
sorting what to keep or spare
It lets us lose a little weight
to carry love with care
I read old days beneath that light
each line becomes the night
For all unfinished dreams we keep
still meet beyond our sight
