She walks in shoes that kissed the clay
Across the fields at break of day
No diamonds stitched no heel to show
Just love that softened every toe
She bore the stones I never knew
So I could walk in skies more blue
Her steps were slow but carved in grace
A thousand miles I cant replace
Each thread was dyed with dusk and grain
Each sole was washed by summer rain
Yet when she came she came with song
As though the world had done no wrong
Now when I tread on paths unknown
I feel her prints beneath my own
She wore the earth that I now roam
And turned the road itself to home
