Scanning extensive intensive what kind of books to you

Would you recommend well to be as i would say any books that you're interested in

For example

If you're interested novels

Then read novels

If you're interested history

Then read history

I don't like to ever say to a student okay

You have to read this type of book can you up

Because if you do

Then you're basically saying what you think they should read

And anything that you read anything in english will still be helpful

Exactly i mean this is one thing that i tend to agree with you

Interest is always the first and foremost

You're really just forcing yourself to read

And you're not going to really stick with it

I want to read the classics

I want to read the news

But if you don't read the classics in chinese

If you don't with the news in chinese

Then why would you do in english and do you just basically lying to yourself

I like history

I am really really interested in

So at the moment i read in a book about ancient cities

So i also like traveelit as well so stories of people who go to far away places and their experiences

And i have to beit as i'm getting a bit older

I do like novels a bit more i never used to

But now i do it's very interesting

Because most people i think like the other way round when you are younger like for me

I started off only reading novels and fiction

And then as i grow older

I start to read nonfiction youthe other way round or you i generally read a lot more non fiction than fiction

So even when you say history it's more like maybe like biography fee or history ory oooorather than hihistical ical novels

I do read some historical novels

But again really

I would say anything that i see is normally kind of about travel in history

Because those are my two urus and what about you

Well i have a specific genrus that i'm really really interested in

So obviously i read a lot of crime mystery

Suspenhororr that jhra that is my favorite shangra

However i'm also just interested in everything

So for example i read psychology

I read let's say anthropology and thropological a books

I read literature

Like pure literature or like poems

All that i do read some history books

Obviously not compared to you

And as i will older

I feel like i should read also more natural science

Ok

So i start reading natural science books

I started to do that a few years back

And it's fascinating

I feel like i'm missing out on a lot

Now on the stem subjects

Because you know the way i still learn stamp subjects was so boring okay

And now i've obviously found books that can give me information and knowledge on natural sciks

That can much more more intesting way yeah

And that is the key um fine books that intereyou yeah

Exactly like recently have been having reading this really really bizarre book written by a japanese wririyeah ah so ically he

He is imagining what humans would look like if they have animal anatomomyeah so on zara

But obviously you learn a lot about animal physical structure anatomy yeah

And so on phtyof book each janra and gives me new inspirations

And you just really keep your life exciting

But for our language learners

I think i would recommend definitely first of all interest

Second of all

If you are to read english books don't try bilingwall

No bilingwas just a lie to yourself

If i watch a chinese tv show with english subtitles or bilingual subtitles

I can say

I can understand

But as soon as i take the english off then that it

It's a false sense of security

You need to take some notes

Or maybe just tell your phone about it or practice with ai

It's a it sililly i've seen people just say this year i read three hundred books
