“Dong Fang Hong" is not only familiar to Beijing people, but also to every Chinese person. Feng Man-tian’s work"Beijing" on the album"String Songs in the Sky" deeply portrays a Chinese person's special and complicated emotions towards the melody of this song"Eastern Red”. This"Beijing Morning Song" is based on the original recorded version, adding some soundscapes of Beijing's early morning, as well as a field recording of “Dong Fang Hong" with electronic bells playing on time from the Telegraph Building, which was included in Chang-An Street and Zhong-Sheng Hutong.
