Peach blossoms rise in the warming air
Plum trees breathe their silent prayer
Soon the cherry sky will fall
Petals drifting over all
Spring keeps turning page by page
Nature writes without a cage
What comes next beyond the rain?
Wisteria vines or hydrangeas again?
The world moves on in colored streams
Blooming life and fading dreams
But through it all, one truth remains
My heart outlives the changing plains
Seasons spin but I remain
Standing in the wind and rain
Thunder roars and storms may rise
Still your shadow fills my eyes
Flowers fall and years may flee
But you still bloom inside of me
Azaleas blaze, then summer sighs
Hydrangeas glow in misty skies
Petals fade and colors die
Yet the earth prepares to try
While the world keeps moving through
Every season speaks of you
Every wind that crosses here
Whispers what I hold most dear
Seasons spin but I remain
Guarding memories through the rain
When these flowers bloom once more
I’ll be standing where before
Watching life return again
While your name runs through my veins
Bloom again next year
Flowers of the turning land
Until that day…
I will stand
