I walk where the tall trees breathe
Wind like whispers through the leaves
Earth below, a living scent
Sunlight falls in fragments bent
At the mountain’s gentle rise
Slopes unseen by careless eyes
Children’s laughter far away
Echoes in a softer day
Everything feels whole and clear
Like something sacred standing near
But even there, I feel the void
A missing piece I can’t avoid
All is here, yet I hold nothing
No love found in anything
Fields of peace, skies so wide
Still the emptiness inside
What I sought, I could not find
Not in earth, nor in mankind
Sitting by the restless sea
Waves repeat their memory
Salted wind against my skin
Blinding light from deep within
Then I turn to streets again
Crowds that move but never mend
Voices clash and scents collide
Noise that swallows what’s inside
All is loud, yet none is true
Nothing here to hold me through
Every face just passing by
No one sees beneath the eye
All is here, yet I hold nothing
No love found in anything
Voices rise, they laugh, they blame
I stand alone within the flame
What I needed, never there
Only judgment in the air
So where do I go from here?
Stand and fight, or disappear?
Answer back, or fade to gray?
Choose to burn, or drift away?
All is here, yet I hold nothing
But the choice means everything
No more silence, no more lies
I will face what I decide
If there’s no love left to see
Then the path is carved by me
Between the silence…
And the noise…
I stand
And choose
