Across the prairies silence
a quilt of dusk and grace;
no border flag or weapon
can harm this open space
A boy and girl go flying
their paper hopes to air;
their laughter breaks no language
their joy is everywhere
The elders watch and wonder
how simple peace could be;
the land itself responding
“I’ve always known you see ”
When night reclaims the starlight
and wind hums soft release—
we vow to keep remembering
how love defines our peace
