Dark corners,
shadows follow…
this is my hood.
I grew up where the lights don’t stay,
streets too cold, hearts decay,
shadows move with every step,
telling stories I won’t forget.
Rap’s my weapon, rap’s my shield,
on this battleground, I don’t yield,
shadows whisper, shadows stare,
but I spit truth into the air.
Shadows in my hood,
they know me better than I could,
every corner feels so crude,
but I rap to change the mood.
Shadows in my hood,
they follow everywhere I stood,
turning silence into wood,
I burn it down with truth.
Streetlights broken, alleys deep,
memories carved that never sleep,
every night the fear comes back,
but my flow’s a counterattack.
Graffiti walls hold my name,
proof I fought through all the pain,
in the dark I found my flame,
rap’s the reason I remain.
Shadows whisper, but I’m louder,
my words sharper, my flow prouder,
darkness presses but I won’t bend,
I’ll rap this fight until the end.
Shadows in my hood,
they haunt me where I stood,
but I rap to do some good,
spitting fire through the wood.
The hood is cruel but I still stand,
building bars with broken hands,
every loss, every scar I keep,
I rap so my soul won’t sleep.
Shadows never leave my side,
but I turn the dark into my guide,
from these streets I’ll never run,
I rap until the morning sun.
Shadows…
still in my hood…
but rap is my light.
