Upon the hill beyond the heather
Where the mist remains all day
Stands a circle made of stone
Worn by wind and rain
The crows arrive before the dawn
And watch the valley sleep
Silent shadows on the grass
Where the ancient secrets keep
No road leads toward the hillside
No map recalls its name
Only the river far below
Remembers it the same
The standing stones grow darker
As evening fills the sky
And the crows upon the weathered wall
Turn their gaze on high
Crow Hill in the mist
Crow Hill in the rain
The old stones remember
What time could not retain
The wind moves through the heather
Like a half-forgotten song
Carried from another age
Where old stories belong
No voice calls from the darkness
No lantern cuts the grey
Only the hill and waiting stones
Remain another day
Crow Hill in the mist
Crow Hill in the rain
The old stones remember
What time could not retain
The crows return at dawn
