Half Transparent
7 AM train blurs through the glass
Faces all merge no one asks
I press my shoulder to the wall
No one notices if I'm here at all
Coffee goes cold in my right hand
Same old schedule same old plan
I smile and nod at words unheard
Half of me already left this world
I'm fading out pixel by pixel
Thinning out line by line
I don't know who I see
In the window facing me
I don't wanna be half transparent
Half alive half present
Walking through the world like I'm not there
Fading into the back of every room
I don't wanna be half transparent
Half a person half a shadow
I wanna feel the weight of my own skin
Wanna be here wanna be seen
Party noise bounces off the walls
Laughing loud but I'm not there at all
I nod along to jokes I don't hear
Count the minutes till I can get out of here
Everyone says I'm doing fine
But half of me is still outside
Watching myself go through the motions
Practicing all the right emotions
I'm fading out pixel by pixel
Thinning out line by line
I don't know who I see
In the window facing me
I don't wanna be half transparent
Half alive half present
Walking through the world like I'm not there
Fading into the back of every room
I don't wanna be half transparent
Half a person half a shadow
I wanna feel the weight of my own skin
Wanna be here wanna be seen
Late at night when the world goes quiet
I stare at the ceiling and I try
To find the parts of me I lost
To count the lines that I have crossed
Maybe I don't have to be perfect
Maybe broken is still worth it
Maybe I can stop hiding
Maybe I can stop fighting
I don't wanna be half transparent
Half alive half present
Walking through the world like I'm not there
Fading into the back of every room
I don't wanna be half transparent
Half a person half a shadow
I wanna feel the weight of my own skin
Wanna be here wanna be seen
Wanna be seen
