Soft winds brush the eaves bamboo shadows glide
Chess rests on the page tea wraps me inside
Peach trees line the earth spring breathes through the yard
Flowers bow down low time stands unharmed
Wine warms up the cup letters lay by the ink
My heart hides in words that silence can link
Winds of the world rage but my soul stays true
This small humble hut holds the world I knew
All the world’s bitter pain turns to verses unending
Cold rain chills my clothes but my light’s still ascending
War drifts far away my boat by the stream
Your pen writes the kindness into earth’s green
Autumn tears at the roof rain seeps through the night
My child in my arms faint with cold’s blight
Streets grow quiet and thin frost covers my gown
Friends light up the fire to warm what I’ve known
I gaze at the strife I write for the weak
Every word carries the warmth that I keep
Winds of the world rage but my soul stays true
This small humble hut holds the world I knew
All the world’s bitter pain carved in history’s light
Though mountains may break my heart still burns bright
A knock at the gate a letter worth more than gold
One lamp in the hut shines a thousand years old
Shu embroidery weaves lotus soft and serene
Minjiang’s waters flow where great poems have been
A cane steps through spring winds sweep the cottage walls
Heritage never dies it rises and falls
I care for the world in simple clothes I wear
Ink lives on forever floating through air
Window frames the western snow through a thousand years
Door holds ships from the east sailing far from here
By Huanhua’s clear stream your spirit stands tall
Tears turned into ink answering every call
All tales of the world rest in this cottage’s embrace
A poet’s soul lives on time cannot erase
