At six years old I witnessed a haunting in my house
And those are just the perks of growing up down in the south
My mother called a priest over to expel all them out
But then began the dreams of maggots crawling in my mouth
So the preacher man told me all he needed was some proof
And to be honest it was something my parents needed too
So you should stay tonight
See what these angry spirits do
And sometimes late at night I see the devil in my room
Move, get the spirits out my way
Cuz they’ve been filling up my mouth with all they need to say
But be careful because they might decide to possess you too
And late one night you might just see some monsters in your room
Doom and gloom they follow me every year like the reaper
For years I thought he was possessed, I was my brother’s keeper
Come to find out he just had some screws loose in his head
And I was the one with the monsters underneath my bed
At sixteen years old I saw a haunting in my house
Those were just the perks of growing up down in the south
My father called a priest over to expel all them out
But then began the dreams nightmares of the fucking slaughtered cows
So then they moved us far away from the house that I grew up in
To that old plantation house and let me tell you it was bumpin
I could see all of the ghosts inside the mirrors that were there
Like the little girl who died in 1884, I wasn’t scared
At eighteen years old I saw a haunting in my house
But I was living in the middle east, I thought I was free now
See a man had died when they were building our apartment there
And they poured the concrete on his body, they just didn’t care
And late one night the devil came and visited again
He threw me across the room and left scars on my skin
Then the therapist told my parents that I wasn’t attacked
That I was the only person that could’ve scratched my back
Then late one night a demon went and visited my dad
He felt something on his chest and had whispers in his head
Woke me up at 4AM and told me he believed me now
And that it was time for both of us to fucking leave this town
If you think that you can leave I will just find you in your sleep
I will tell all of my minions to invade all of your dreams
The darkness is the only thing that you will ever see
Go ahead and say all of your prayers but you’re not getting rid of me
At twenty-six years old I saw a haunting in my house
And I’m still having dreams of maggots crawling in my mouth
So i took it upon myself to expel all them out
And I repeated what the preacher said down in the south
But then began again the dreams of all the slaughtered cows
In the depths of the darkness where the demons often prowl,
I danced with shadows, and I made my vow
I’ve been cleansing this place so hard I’m burning down the house
