"We rose not to win... but to be free."
The city bleeds but does not break,
Each shattered brick a vow they make.
With homemade bombs and stolen guns,
They lit the spark and faced the sun.
No tanks, no help, no promised hand—
But still they rose to make a stand.
For every child, for every street,
They swore they’d never know defeat!
Whispers in sewers, fire in skies,
Songs of the fallen where freedom lies.
From basements deep, they took the fight—
Against the dark, they brought the light.
Uprising! For the motherland we burn!
Uprising! Though the world refused to turn.
With shattered bones, we held the flame—
And carved in death our country’s name!
The radios cried, but none replied,
While allies watched and hope had died.
Yet still they fought, still flags were raised,
In every soul, the fire blazed.
They built their walls with blood and pain,
Turned every ruin to a chain.
And when the tanks rolled in once more,
They wrote their anthem in the war.
Children with rifles, fathers with scars,
Hearts unbroken beneath the stars.
Betrayed by time, abandoned cries—
But Warsaw lived where valor dies.
Uprising! Though the heavens turned away!
Uprising! Through the black and ash we stay.
With broken hearts, we faced the fall—
But freedom echoed through it all!
“Jeszcze Polska nie zginęła...”
“Poland is not yet lost...”
“They took our lives, not our soul.”
Uprising! We are shadows in the flame!
Uprising! History will know our name!
Though buried deep beneath the pain—
The spirit rose, and still remains!
"Warsaw did not fall... it rose."
