The bronze bells of old shatter a thousand years of frost
From the cracks in armor flames begin to host
Upon the bamboo slips a verse is carved so deep —
“Great winds rise and clouds fly free!”
Warhorses trample fields stained red with battle’s cost
On the graves weeds grow sharp unbowed unhostile
Day and night the blood remains uncooled and warm
We hear our ancestors’lamentations in the stone’s calm
Take the Yangtze as our arrow shattering heaven’s vast
Breaking the illusions of demons high above at last
When the bells and drums resound within our veins
Each man’s belief is forged into a wall unshaken unstrained
In the bronze ding we boil the stars’own light
On turtle shells we divine the path of lightning’s might
We grind our hot blood to write the madness in our soul
Let every dream unfurl wings of diamond strong and whole
"The king marches out!Sharpen our spears and our axes true
With you I share the same enemy;our resolve is new!"
Take the Yellow River as our bowstring strung with cold
Shoot down the wolves that circle from the nine heavens bold
When falling meteors clash with arrows carved in bone
Every piece of history rises up a roaring endless tone
The war banners roll like waves of oracle script and art
We stand upon the shoulders of those who came before apart
We will not forget the blood our martyrs shed on field and plain
The sons of this land now charge into a new campaign
