Windows open winter gone
Maple leaves rehearse the dawn;
The rooms inhale the dust takes flight
As breath redeems the sleeping night
Each corner hums with patient care
The memory of love still there;
A table set a candle lit
The simplest home the infinite
I walk through beams of tender sun
And feel the years become undone;
No grand design no marble floor
Just peace rebuilding door by door
When evening glows with amber thread
The walls repeat what morning said:
The house we keep the hearth we tend—
Will shine within us till the end
